Perry -9 Months

Happy 9 Months Mr. Perry!!
19 lbs and 28 1/2 inches tall!
That is 20-25 percentile for weight and 75 percentile for height!
Yay... a growth spurt!  Doc M was very pleased with P's progress (i.e crawling, standing, walking assisted, saying momma/dadda, picking up toys, fingering foods, table food interest, etc)  He is a little monkey and wants to do everything York is doing... his brother makes him laugh and sometimes cry.  Mostly laugh... they are quite the pair!  Perry is happy most of the time and will win anyone over with just one look into those baby blues!  He is my handsome little one and holds another part of my heart... a heart that has grown ever so large in the last nine months.

Perry at 6 month visit
Look how much he has grown!! Is it just me or is he a mini-Wes??  He is also a little more tan... all those outdoor play dates and beach/ lake days.  I am so proud of this little guy and happy for a healthy report!  I can not believe that 9 months have flown by so quickly... I say that all of the time but with the 2nd child it is more true than ever!  Happy Happy Sweet Perry Baby!  We love you so much...

I draw heart for you momma!

Mr. York has be a chatty Cathy lately...wonder where he gets that? Here are a few conversations from last week....

We were in the Jim n Nicks drive through waiting on our turn at the window when York looks over at Perry and says, "That's foods house P!"

We were laying in bed and York blurts out, "I can't believe this weather, mom!"

Perry was in his car seat singing "Dadadadadada" when York interrupts "He is at WORK P!"

I told York ... "You are such a pretty baby!" he quickly interjects "I not a pretty baby.. I YORK!"

York loves to draw at the kitchen table and I always come over to admire his work.. as I stood over him he looks up with those beautiful eyes and says, "I draw heart for you momma"

"What's wrong with me momma... I got gas in my tummy?"

I told York that he must eat so he would have "gas in his tank" and looked at me very serious and said "gas is in my truck in gomery mom"

York and Perry were playing on the floor when Perry handed over a car and York sweetly put his hand on Perry's head and said, "Thank you P I needed that!"

Perry loves to repeat "Da Da Da Da" and York finally looked over and said "P I NOT your daddy .. I York!"

I told York that instead of paper that we could write on this large box we got in the mail... he looked up and said, "Mom that's a great idea!"

He didn't think I was watching him as he played in the living room... He couldn't find a toy he was looking for and put his hands on his head and declared, "What the heck!"

His new thing : when asked to pick up toys, eat his food, put on shoes, etc

He repeats: "Ok OK OK OK OK"

York was sitting beside Perry at dinner and looked over and said, "Look at that mess you made P.... Oh that's just horrible"

When York comes out of time out I explain why he was there and why we shouldn't do that particular action again and I complete the lesson with "you understand?" and now he tells P what not to do and quickly asks, "you understand P?
We were walking to get the mail and York says, "I wanna go to camp it'd be great!"

We were walking into a restaurant and I asked York "who are those people?" and he replies, "Those my kids momma!"

"Mom if I eat my food, I get strong, and get muscles" yes York that is right! and he say "mom only boys have muscles ok!"

On the way to his haircut he out of the blue says, "Mom I not a boy, I'm a working man!"
York and I were having a conversation and he says, "Mom you say yes sir to me!" so I said "Yes sir York!" and he then congratulates me with "that a boy, mom!"
He has the manner part down but the gender is another story... hehe

I just love our special interactions each day... trying to write the highlights down to remember when he is older! God you are so good...

She has done it again...

http://www.freshgracephotography.blogspot.com/ was able to capture such sweet moments in an afternoon of complete and utter chaos! York was a total pill and Perry hates the HEAT... but she is so patient and kind and worked her magic yet again. She managed to get this precious time in our lives on film... I will always remember how difficult this photo session was but how beautifully the pictures came out. It is so similar to how my days go -difficult at times:

*bathing one while the other is coloring our walls, taking off his diaper, or jumping from the table to the couch

*lugging them to the grocery store while manipulating one around my waist to unbuckle the other from his seat, preventing one from running in the street while holding another, pushing a buggy, finding the keys, all while the phone is ringing

*spooning baby food into ones mouth while the other is smashing crackers into his plate and generously "salting" the area around him

*changing ones diaper while the other has crawled into the another room and has managed to fall and bump his head or smash his fingers

*going to lunch trying to buckle one into a highchair while the other is visiting with an elderly couple 10 tables away

*OR trying to lay one down for a nap and the other comes in screaming that he has POOPED his pants! baby wakes up...

A W E S O M E

Those precious squiggly lines my toddler calls art, those sweet fat fingers squishing his food -learning about texture, taste, and the word NO!, kissing boo boos, those fat thighs dangling out of the side of that highchair, my chatty little man talking to strangers as friends -pure innocence, and watching a sleeping baby are all moments that I will never get back and will always Cherish. My hard days are not hard at all only the reality of my life, the amazing gift of taking care of 2 children day in and day out. What a job... spending priceless time with precious boys. I am the luckiest girl in the world!

WE ARE AT THE BEACH!!!

We are having a blast! This is Perry today at the Red Bar for lunch. We had a great time and Mr. P loves his new view at the dinner table from a high chair!! He has 8 teeth now and is climbing and standing on EVERYTHING. He crawls (army style) everywhere but would prefer to walk.... he lets go often and face plants. I am taking the "he will learn" approach. The boys and I are in Santa Rosa visiting my mom and the weather has been amazing. Wesley will be joining us this weekend... our last trip before York goes back to MDO. Mom and York at lunch...
York's face says it ALL!

Summer Par-tay!

It has been ENTIRELY to hot to:

go to the park

play outside

sidewalk chalk

ride cars in driveway

play ball

nature walks

go to the pool w/ both boys

or do anything outside lately!!

So I decided to rent a slide and invite some of York's friends to enjoy the wild and wet fun. My BF "K" so graciously offered her jump house to add another cool toy for the kiddo's! We had a blast and the little babies were able to enjoy the air conditioner with sweet Britney. We had a total of 11 friends and their mommies... I hope they enjoed it as much as my clan did.

Below are some pix from that day.

We completed the afternoon with pizza and fruit! What a special day and a great way to get our boys and gal (poor Kate bug -only girl) to N A P! Hope to do another outdoor get together before this beautiful weather fades...

Change UP

Here are some pix of my "keeping room" off of the kitchen and the living room... I have been adding different elements since we moved in and am finally pleased with the results. Here's a look:
