Havanna Daydreaming...

Arriving in Paradise... Sunset Key
(Sunset Key is a small island off of Key West) Monica welcomed us to our cottage...
We vacationed during Hurricane season... so we had the pool to ourselves.
Little man getting ready for a day at the beach/pool.
I like my bed at Key West.... I can pull up easy here!
The cottage view from the water... a ferry was available 24/7 to take us
back and fourth to the island. Wesley's (daddy juice) on the pier... trying out my new camera settings.
Having fun with York's name...
(These fell from the trees on the island)
Wes and York hanging on the porch...
Tropical Air was the name of our cottage...
York having a little appetizer... hair brush a la carte.
I love the "keys"!
We asked mom to help with York... we are on the ferry heading to lunch!
(thanks mom and Rafe... yall were GREAT help!)
The ferry dropped off at Mallory Square... Wes and York enjoying Sloppy Joe's entertainment!
My sweet baby was an absolute ANGEL while we walked up and down Duval Street in the heat! Here we were taking a break...
"Yummy... this chair taste delicious!" "It's such a hard life!"
"I am not always happy... especially when I have to wear HATS!"
The Harless men watching boats come in...
Daddy time... We did a deep sea fishing trip on Thursday!
(This is the boat that took us out... 15 miles!)
Did I mention they picked us up at 6... Sunrise, Sunrise!
I though this was a cool pic!
Happy 28th Birthday Wesley!
(His bday was in June... but this was his gift)
Wesley knew he had something big...
45 minutes later, a couple of pictures of "cute" fishing lures, a sandwich, a chapter in my book...
Wes reeled in this 7 foot beauty...
They called it a Oceanic White Tip Shark...
He was a "reel" looker... I named him Murphy.
Then we caught a nice size Barracuda... Look at those nasty TEETH!
Here are the 2 Mahi-Mahi that we caught...
(We reeled them in at the same time)
After the trip we took them to the Conch Republic Seafood Restaurant and they prepared them for us! I am NOT a fish eater and I absolutely LOVED them...
They even let Wes drive the boat... He was in HEAVEN!
Captain Craig and Wes swapping fish tales!
Sunset Key from the boat...Getting ready for dinner...
"I love you Mae-Mae!"
Rae-Rae, Mae-Mae, and York on the ferry.
York and I playing on the rocks at sunset.
sweet boy!
The Harless family
Beautiful sunsetanother shot We are back home safely after a week in paradise. I really didn't want to come home! If you are looking for a great vacation spot... GO TO SUNSET KEY! The pictures do not do it justice. It was complete relaxation even with a 9 month old! YES... York turned 9 months while we were away. He also decided to take a couple of steps, tried a bannana, cucumber, pickle, french fry, lemon, and pinnapple. He liked the pickle best! WEIRD- Huh? We enjoyed our vacation by eating nonstop, spending lazy days by the pool, watching breath taking sunsets, partaking in local culture, fishing, napping, and had some time for a historical tour too. Hope you enjoy the pictures... It was hard to narrow down from the 500 that I took! York has his 9 month appointment on Tuesday so I will have his stats/ updates then. Hope everyone had a wonderful week too and didn't get washed away...

I love my Skip! Pretty Baby

I don't really LIKE peas!
I'm just the handsome neglected step-brother...
Mr. Independent...

(is that appropriate?)
Reverse Milk Mustache
Your funny momma!
I like to look at myself in the mirror...
I have a BIG boy car seat!

We have had a wonderful week. York has made a full recovery and beat that nasty Piggy. As you can see, we have upgraded to a Big Boy Car seat! Wow! I am amazed at how quickly they grow. York has also decided that he would crawl like a big boy too! (instead of army crawls) He is also not thrilled with drinking a bottle and would prefer the milk to be in a cup. SAD and HIGH MAINTENANCE! My baby is certainly NO baby anymore. He continues to light up my every moment and bring unexplainable joy to my days. He is a constant reminder of how wonderful and amazing our Lord truly is. We are headed to Key West, FL on Saturday morning. Yes... we are taking Mr. Independent! We fly out at 6AM on the 12th and return on the 19th! This is an overdue anniversary trip for Wesley and I. We were too poor to go anywhere on our 1st anniversary together and I was pregnant (SICK) on our 2nd anniversary together. So we are celebrating our 3 years of holy matrimony in Key West! Wes and I have been before and absolutely love it! We are taking my mom so she can help with York. That way we can experience some time alone too! I am very thankful that she agreed to go... However, it didn't take much persuading on our part. I will post more when we get back!
